Protection

SOMCAF's protection programs provides support, safe spaces to the vulnerable communities. We actively advocate for policy changes and legal reforms to strengthen protection for survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and address the root causes of GBV. By empowering survivors with the resources they need and pushing for larger societal change.

Main Duties:

  • Providing tailored support and linking individuals to relevant services.

  • Providing basic medical care and referring to specialized services when needed.

  • Offering emotional support, counseling, and safe spaces.

  • Responding to child abuse, neglect, and exploitation cases.

  • Providing support, safe spaces, and referrals for survivors of GBV.

Our education projects encompass a range of activities, from direct instruction to teacher development and community engagement, We aimed at improving access to quality education and fostering positive learning outcomes.

  • Providing skills-based training for specific trades or jobs.

  • Providing professional development and pedagogical skills training.

  • Supplying textbooks, notebooks, and other learning tools.

  • Ensuring safe access to schools for students from remote areas.

Education

Main Duties:

Humenterian Aid

SOMCAF's humanitarian aid project directly addresses the urgent issue of malnutrition by providing critical resources and interventions. We focus on delivering emergency food supplies, specialized nutritional products, and clean water to vulnerable populations, particularly children and pregnant/lactating women.

Main Duties:

  • Quickly evaluating the scale and nature of a crisis.

  • Providing tents, tarps, and materials for temporary housing.
    Ensuring access to safe water, toilets, and hygiene supplies.

  • Offering counseling and support for mental health and well-being.

  • Organizing the delivery of aid supplies and personnel.
